Set Our Sights On Things Above

It’s a lazy day today. I didn’t sleep well last night for some reason. I kept tossing and turning. So around 7:30 I finally dragged myself out of bed. There was no reason to keep lying there staring at the ceiling.

So I did my devotions while it was still quiet in the room. Came across great verses which I posted in my last blog post.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 tells us that while we encounter trials and tribulations we can rest assured that we are not alone! We may be beaten but we’re not knocked out! God has promised us that He will never leave us, he will never forsake us.

Then further down in verse 18,

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

If we focus on Jesus and not on the things of the earth we can get through anything.

It’s tougher than it sounds but will totally be worth it in the end to hear him say to us “Well done my good and faithful servant!”
