We’re human. We’re going to sin. It’s in our nature.

Take This Sin
Take this sin
It threatens to consume me
I try to run from it
I try to hide.
But it finds me
No matter how hard I try
It finds me.
Take this sin from me Lord
Take this sin
I’m tired of running
I’m tired of hiding
Please, take this sin.

It made me think of 1John 1:9. If we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He not only takes it when we give it to Him, He cleanses us inside and out! Good poem.

Love it. Beautifully written. I think we forgive others much more easily than we forgive ourselves. Thanks for reminding me that God forgives me so surely I can forgive myself.
