This past Saturday I suddenly started having random bouts of dizziness. It was awful. The room would suddenly start spinning when I bent over or looked up. I figured it was my sinuses beginning to act up.
Sunday after church I decided to take a trip to Urgent Care to see what was going on. I apparently have an upper respiratory infection with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). It is triggered by certain changes in head position, such as tipping the head up or down. The doctor gave me a medication to help with the dizziness.
This vertigo business is no joke! I woke up this morning sick to my stomach, the room was spinning and laying down just made it worse. I took the medication as well as an over the counter medication and though it’s not completely gone, at least I can function.
Have you ever experienced vertigo? How did it make you feel? What remedies work for you?

I’ll be praying for you! ❤
I did experience vertigo once but it was short-lived. My ear was stopped up so I used the natural remedy of putting hydrogen peroxide in my ear to get rid of any excess wax, which I've done countless times before. I had a cold which was already messing with me and soon as the liquid hit my eardrum it was instant vertigo. I guess the bubbling messed with ear pressure which was already weird because of the cold. It went away on its own in a few hours, but it was scary because I hadn't experienced it before.
I am familiar with nausea, but not with vertigo. I'm glad you can function at least!

Sorry you are going through this! I get bouts of what I call “swimmy-head” and, yes, being dizzy is the worst.
