Prayer for My Health

Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a little update on my health and ask that you please pray for me.

On Monday morning I went to the ER with severe flank pain. They did a CT scan and diagnosed me a kidney stone. They sent me home with a prescription for the pain and told me to drink plenty of fluids so that I could pass the stone.

Well, anyways, that afternoon I received a phone call from the ER asking me to come back in because they noticed something on my CT scan regarding my lungs. They mentioned the words alveolitis and atelectasis. Confused and quite frankly a little nervous, I headed back to the ER where they asked if I had been having shortness of breath. I informed them that yes, in fact, I had been. They then told me they were going to test me for COVID because they have been seeing patients come in with shortness of breath as their only symptom and testing positive for COVID.

They also did blood work and then sent me home to wait for my results.

Well my Primary Care doctor called me yesterday and informed me that he wants me to have an echocardiogram and a pulmonary function test. He wants to rule our CHF (congestive heart failure) because a level (NT-proBNP) in my blood work was elevated.

Needless to say I’m a little nervous but I know that God is in control and will see me through this.

So if you all could just pray that everything turns out okay I’d really appreciate it!

Oh yeah, I’m also having a sleep study on September 30 because there is a chance I could have sleep apnea.

When it rains, it pours but I’m trusting in God!
