God Is NOT Surprised, Even When I AM

As most of you all know, I suffer from multiple health problems. I get to add one more problem to that list.

I have been dealing with a pinched nerve in my neck, causing numbness and tingling in my right hand. I went to the orthopedic doctor and she ordered an X-ray and an MRI. I got my results from the MRI yesterday. I have something called Syringomyelia. It is the development of a fluid-filled cyst (syrinx) within your spinal cord. Over time, the cyst can enlarge, damaging your spinal cord and causing pain, weakness and stiffness, among other symptoms.

My doctor has ordered another MRI, this time with contrast. And most likely, I’ll have to have surgery to drain the fluid.

When it rains it pours, I guess.

God isn’t surprised by all this, I know this to be true. He’s got a plan for me even throughout all these health issues.

I would like to ask prayer for me as my doctor and I come up with the best treatment plan. If it is surgery I’ll most likely be out of work for at least 4 weeks. Please pray there are no complications throughout this process.

I’m “counting it ALL joy! I’m frustrated, naturally, that I keep having more health issues but I KNOW that my God is in control and will see me through this.

  1. Your faith will make you well. Trust in God’s word in the Bible and faith will guide you to your healing. Pray for your doctor, and all who will be attending to you that God will give them knowledge and wisdom to attend to you. I pray that God will bless you with healing. “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16
