18 Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living. Romans 6:18 (NLT)
20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. 21 And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. 22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:20-23 (NLT)
13 For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love. Galatians 5:13 (NLT)
17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NLT)
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed.
Isaiah 61:1 (NLT)
Freedom. That’s what we obtain when we place our faith in Christ. When we give up all our earthly desires and start living for Him, we inherit freedom.
I realize I posted on freedom a couple weeks ago but I’ll never grow tired of knowing that I, and all believers in Christ, WE ARE FREE! Sin has held us captive but NO LONGER!
Have a wonderful Sunday! 🙂
