Where Do Your Priorities Lie? (repost from 7/12/21)

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5

Jeremiah 29:13, it says ” You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” How often do we truly stop and seek after God? Do we only seek after Him when we need something? Do we only seek after Him when trials threaten to bring us down?

Seriously…how often do we seek Him?

I struggle with so many thoughts about how I spend my time. I know I need to do something yet I procrastinate. I know I need to dive into God’s Word but hold up, lemme finish this episode on Netflix. Or lemme check Facebook for the millionth time today. (Seriously, I waste so much time on social media. It’s a terrible habit that I’m slowly becoming aware of and am trying to rectify,lol.)

Instead of hopping on social media for the tenth time that hour….let’s open our Bible instead. God’s promises are far better than the junk we see online!

Seek God. Seek God while He may be found.
