What does it mean to be truly satisfied in Christ?
I’ve been thinking about that today.
Mom and I were talking about how we as human beings are never satisfied in life. We took the weather for instance. When it’s freezing cold outside, we long for the summertime. And when it’s scorching hot outside we long for winter. There’s no satisfying us.
We always want something bigger and better. Then we get that bigger and better thing and we desire something even greater. It’s a never-ending cycle! When will it ever end? Will it ever end?
I believe it ends when we finally become satisfied in Christ and Christ alone. When we rest in Him we find true satisfaction.
So what does it mean to be truly satisfied in Christ? Well, we will have a sense of peace that surpasses all understanding. We glorify God when we are truly satisfied in Him.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35)
In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11)
Jesus promises us that if we learn to find our satisfaction in Him, He will take care of us.
One of my favorite songs ever is Who Can Satisfy? I urge you to go listen to this song. I can listen to this song on repeat over and over. It’s a beautiful song!

You quoted one of my favorite worship songs. I used it frequently when I was in music ministry, and the church would come alive. I love the words of Israel Houghton: “Nothing in this word can satisfy. Jesus, You’re the cup that won’t run dry.”

You first talk about being satisfied in Christ and than you say you truly are satisfied in god, giving the impression though in the previous phrase you need Christ also to become satisfied. Why aiming at two persons or beings when there is the Most High to trust?
I can understand that you would come to believe and put your hope in Christ, when he is the sent one from God and would have restored the relationship with Allah. But your writing gives the impression you do not believe he is the sent one from God. It all looks like you have made him into your god instead of praising and worshipping the same God Jesus (Ishi/Jeshua) worshipped?

Hi there! Thanks for commenting and sharing your thoughts. But I most certainly do not believe or am “aiming” at two persons. God is Christ. I believe in the Trinity, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God’s Son and was sent to earth to save us from our sins. He IS my God and I worship Him daily.

It’s in the Bible therefore I believe it. It’s something that is very hard, if not impossible, for a human to understand but Jesus is God. Matthew 3:17 says “and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”
John 1:14 says “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Trinity is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
Listen, I’ve been raised in church all my life and still have trouble understanding everything. And there are things here on earth that no one will ever understand until we’re in heaven.
I hope I haven’t confused you even more. I don’t mean to confuse you.

Leigh where does it say in your bible (and what for bible is that?) that God is Jesus. In the bibles I have encountered it nowhere says such a thing.
You yourself quote a bible verse wich clearly says Jesus is the son of god and not god Himself: “Matthew 3:17 says “and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.”” Or would you agree that God is not telling the truth and has come to earth but now does not want to tell it is Him standing there in the water of the river Jordan.
In the second quote you give “John 1:14 says “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” You come to say a word, something spoken or written down is God. So when you speak and I hear your word I would hear God or see God. do you not forget to see what is written in the second part of the phrase “glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” where is clearly written that the word which came into being, i.e; that what God had said became reality (is the apostle not pointing to the promise in the Garden of Eden that He would provide a solution against the curse of sin and the curse of death?).
When you have been raised in church all your life and still have trouble understanding everything, would it than not better to clinch to the Words of your Holy Scriptures and believe them instead of the many human teachings. Or would you not better go to a church where everything is as clear as clean water?

Leigh is it not more that you worship a confusing god? Allah is a God of clarity and not a God of confusion. Your god at one point says He is the Most Almighty and at an other point he say he can not do anything from himself. One point he says I am the only one true God above all gods Host of hosts, a god Who can not be seen by man, and at an other point your god is seen by thousends of people (and still fall not death, there are even ones who resurrect). At one point your god says he is a spirit and at an other point he says he is no spirit. At one point he even comes to prey to himself why he has abandoned himself. How can one forsake oneself? at one point he says not to worship him or not to pray to him but at the same time he says you have to pray to god (which is himself according to you)? that looks very much more confusing …..
