So this morning I had a stress test/echocardiogram to see why I’ve been having heart palpitations/chest pain. Some of you may remember that I had an ablation in 2005 to correct a problem called WPW, or Wolff Parkinson White syndrome. The ablation was a success and I hadn’t been having problems until now. So my cardiologist suggested the stress test/echo as well as wear a heart monitor for 48 hours.
The stress test went okay, I guess. I had barely started walking when my heart rate shot up to like 125 and I started getting out of breath. I am very out of shape so I know that has a lot to do with getting out of breath so quickly. But they told me to let them know as soon as I felt I couldn’t go on and then I had to lie down on my left side quickly so they could do the echo. And let me tell you…..that was not fun. She had to press hard into my chest and that sucker HURT! I deal with costochondritis from time to time because of my fibromyalgia so I think that’s why it hurt so badly.
I’m already annoyed with the heart monitor. LOL. I can’t shower for two days, YUCK! And because of the wires, I’m constantly made aware of it any time I move a certain way. But it’s only for two days. I just keep telling myself that.
So that’s been MY Wednesday!
How is your Wednesday going?
